Over the years, Samaritan has generated programs and services for underserved families, based upon identified needs within the Milwaukee community. These programs have ranged from GED programs, in collaboration with Milwaukee Area Technical College, to a teen sex education program in collaboration with the United Way of Greater Milwaukee. Samaritan partnered with the Milwaukee Workforce Investment Board and the Department of Corrections to provide job training opportunities for their clientele, while developing and sponsoring Job Readiness seminars for unemployed and underemployed persons as well. As our motto expresses, “one ready and generous in helping those in distress,” Samaritan has availed itself to the needs of the community it serves. Our professional staff has the ability to adapt to the demands of new initiatives, through professional development training, and/or soliciting others from varied professional backgrounds to facilitate the instruction needed for special programming.

Samaritan consists of three components: Children’s Tutorial, Quality of Life Programs and Youth Development.
