This component is designed to meet the physical and emotional needs of single parents, low-wealth families, and persons who have had little to no previous work experience. The focus of training will be in the areas of job readiness, job search and money management. Special projects include transitional job collaboration and driver’s license education & recovery.
Job Readiness Seminars
This program is facilitated by Human Resource Professionals from various industries within the state of Wisconsin. These individuals have committed themselves to the mission of Samaritan in providing quality services for the improvement of families’ ability to become more skillful in securing employment opportunities. The seminars encompass detail instructions on resume writing, interviewing tips, networking skills, and private industries / governmental job searches. Samaritan also partners with local employment agencies in providing these skills and services, as well. These seminars have been provided since January 2010, serving over 200 program participants.
